Aug. 8 A Homegrown Music Request segment. Homegrown Music has
been persenting regional artist performances weekly on WVIA for close to 30
years. Every few months, producer/host George Graham sets aside a program for
listeners to request their favorites from among the huge Homegrown Music
Archive. This special 90-minute edition of the program provides such an
opportunity. Phone 570-655-2808, preferably a day or more in advance to place a

Aug. 15 Luke and Daniel Brindley. The Brindley Brothers appeared on Homegrown Music in 2000 and 2001. Since then, they have moved to the Washington, DC, area where they have become successful not only as musicians but as operators of Jammin' Java, of one of the capital city's hippest music venues. They just released a new CD called Filled with Fire. This Homegrown encore from 2000 presents collection of their enjoyable original songs performed in an acoustic setting. Aug. 29 In Flight East. This outstanding jazz rock fusion band from Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Binghamton, NY area existed in the early 1990s and put in several appearances on the program. This encore features highlights from their HGM sessions, with performances of their original music.
