The Gaptime Ensemble, led by pianist/arranger Wolfgang Knittel, is a
distinctive Poconos-based group which uses instrumentation similar to a
Dixieland band, including a tuba for bass, to perform arrangements of music
from numerous eras of jazz. It is one of the groups assembled for the Delaware
Water Gap Celebration of the Arts, where they have been regulars, though they
rarely perform elsewhere. Homegrown Music listeners will have a chance to hear
Gaptime's music that is spirited and entertaining, as well as musically and
historically fascinating.
