December 2007
Dec. 4 Ned Farr. A distinctive singer-songwriter whose original music draws on folk, and jazz with an often atmospheric sound, Ned Farr spends most of his time as a visual artist and cinematographer, so his musical output is infrequent. This 1998 session from the archive is one of his most recent musical projects. But it's a memorable session with fine songs and some excellent musicians performing.
Dec. 11 Julia Joseph. A singer-songwriter whose acoustic sound is
infectiously rhythmic, Julia Joseph has recently released her debut CD
Hush which is already attracting national attention, and has been
featured on WVIA's Mixed Bag. Her makes her first appearance on Homegrown Music
with a collection of new non-album songs, joined by acoustic bassist Jeff
Eyrich (Dave's True Story) and percussionist/vocalist KK Kairos.
