Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham. Homegrown Music (HGM), presents new performances most Tuesdays at 9:00 PM. June features another archive presentation from 1998 on the 17th. Further information on Homegrown Music may be obtained via the World Wide Web at http://homegrownmusic.info and http://www.wvia.org/radio/homegrown.html

June 3 MoR. Homegrown Music does not usually feature "cover" bands, but MoR is a distinctive duo who perform memorable arrangements of rock songs in a setting of only bass and vocals. They also include an original piece and an Icelandic song in this 2007 encore.

June 10 Ben Carroll. A first-rate singer-songwriter, Ben Carroll released his debut CD Real Thing earlier this year. He makes his Homegrown Music debut in the company of his father Jon Carroll, who was known for his work in the Starland Vocal Band in the 1970s. They perform Ben's rhythmically infectious original songs, including mostly unreleased material.

June 17 World Is. From the Homegrown Music Archive from a decade ago, World Is serves up creative jazz-rock fusion music. The group includes former WVIA-FM staff member Andrew Morrell on drums, and Tom Alexander on keyboards. Since that session, Alexander's music has been heard on nationally syndicated radio shows, including work as a the head writer and musical director for "The Drive" on CBS Sporstline. This 1998 HGM session was a reunion for a group which goes back to the 1980s.

June 24 Steve Brosky with Jim Meyer. Veteran Lehigh Valley singer-songwriter and rocker Steve Brosky last year released a well-received CD called Chronicle. He returns to Homegrown Music with a new collection of songs, performed in an acoustic setting with guitar virtuoso Jim Meyer.
