Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham. A special feature during October is a Homegrown Music Concert recorded at the Bloomsburg Fair with Hickory Project on the 13th. Homegrown Music is preempted on Oct. 6 for coverage of the 20th annual Billtown Blues Festival. Oct. 13 A Homegrown Music Concert from the Bloomsburg Fair with HICKORY PROJECT. WVIA's annual Homegrown Music concert at the Bloomsburg Fair features a virtuosic set by Northeastern Pennsylvania's world-class bluegrass band Hickory Project. The band has toured as far away as Australia, and they return to Homegrown Music for a concert given at the Free Stage bandshell at the 155th annual Bloomsburg Fair on September 26. They were joined by special guest guitarist Mark Morris from Colorado for this performance.
Oct. 20 Jason O. From Clifford, PA, singer-songwriter Jason
Olcese is a talented artist who creates very appealing original songs. In 2008
he released his debut CD Sink or Swim which has widely praised.
Following that, he returned to Homegrown Music for a new set of songs. This
encore features that solo acoustic session from 2008.

Oct. 27 Rogue Chimp. From the Clarks Summit, PA, area, Rogue
Chimp is an instrumental jam band trio of keyboards, bass and drums (with
percussion such as tabla.) They create engaging, infectious original music that
runs from jazzy to funky. They make their Homegrown Music debut.
