Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham. Heard Tuesdays at 9:00 PM, Homegrown Music (HGM), presents new performances many weeks. April features a live Homegrown Music concert broadcast on the 19th. Apr. 6 Stacie Rose New Jersey singer-songwriter Stacie Rose first appeared on Homegrown Music in 2003. Last year, she released a well-received CD called Shotgun Daisy which was been featured on WVIA's Mixed Bag. This 2009 encore features a very nice acoustic performance by Ms. Rose and her band with music from that CD and other non-album material. (Encore)

Apr. 13 Cabinet. This large, young bluegrass-jam band from Northeastern PA was signed to a national record label. They continue to grow in popularity with their appealing mix of influences and first-rate musicianship. This encore features the band's 2007 Homegrown Music debut. (Encore)

Apr. 19 A Live Homegrown Music Concert with AND THE MONEYNOTES and JASON O. WVIA's unique series of monthly live radio-exclusive concert broadcasts continues with another great evening of music from the Sordoni Theater at WVIA.

Singer-songwriter Jason O (Olcese) from Clifford, PA, returns to perform a new set of his appealing original songs before the live studio and radio audience.

The Scranton-based And the Moneynotes is a highly eclectic sextet whose style runs from rock to vaudeville to jam-band. Their instrumentation includes acoustic piano, mandolins and a washboard. They make their first live Homegrown Music concert.

Apr. 20 Mere Mortals. A long-running band that evolved through various versions under various names, including Bent Blue and Music for Models. This archive encore features original line-up with vocalist Ed Appnel, and spotlights some of their sophisticated original rock.

Apr. 27 Concert Clips. As part of WVIA's annual spring membership drive, this week's edition of Homegrown Music features memorable excerpts from live Homegrown Music concerts over the years, providing an opportunity for listeners to support this unique long-running radio series.
