Dec. 3 Pavlov's Dawgs. From the Homegrown Music archive comes this 1998 reunion session by the highly eclectic Lehigh Valley bluegrass group Pavlov's Dawgs. Formed around 1990, the quartet was known for their bluegrass interpretations of songs by Talking Heads, the Rolling Stones and other rockers, as well as their own original music. They went their separate ways by the mid 1990s, but did a special reunion in 1998, making an appearance on Homegrown Music. This encore features the band in all its virtuostic eclecticism.
Dec. 10 Jon Fuller. A classically-trained pianist and composer, Jon Fuller released his debut full CD Skipping Away from Dissonance earlier this year. it was selected for one of the Mixed Bag weekly album reviews, and spotlighted his creative, sophisticated and appealing original music. He makes his Homegrown Music debut in a session that includes some new songs performed in a solo piano/vocal setting.
