Feb. 10 A Live Homegrown Music Concert with THE BADLEES and KING RADIO. WVIA's unique series of monthly live radio concert-broadcasts continues with two outstanding "rootsy" rock groups.

The Badlees are probably the region's best-known band. Together for nearly a quarter century they have enjoyed national recognition and remained very independent. Late last year, they released Epiphones and Empty Rooms, with their augmented personnel. The Badlees have been appearing on Homegrown Music since their start, and we are pleased to welcome them back to perform their new material for what promises to be a fine and musically eclectic set.

King Radio is a new group founded by Justin King which features members of
well-known regional bands such as Mere Mortals, and The Five Percent, and Leroy
Justice. They recently completed a CD with legendary producer Jim Scott, who
has worked with Sting, Tom Petty, the Rolling Stones and the Dixie Chicks among
others. King Radio will be debuting their new material that is marked by solid
songwriting and especially tasteful musicianship.
