Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham and is broadcast Tuesdays at 9:00 PM. Special features during May include a live Homegrown Music Concert Broadcast on the 12th, and a Mixed Bag 40th anniversary segment on the 13th. May 12 Live Homegrown Music concert with MIZ and JON FULLER. WVIA's unique monthly series of live radio concert broadcasts continues with two mostly acoustic performances.

Classically trained singer-songwriter Jon Fuller released a CD last year
called "Skipping Away from Dissonance" which was a Mixed Bag album review
feature. After a very enjoyable Homegrown Music studio session last year, he
makes his first live Homegrown Music concert appearance.

MiZ, led by NE PA guitarist and singer-songwriter Mike Mizwinski has become
quite popular on the regional and national jam band scene. The group returns
returns to the Homegrown Music concert series after four years, with revised
personnel and new material that features Mizwinski's impressive acoutsic guitar
work.

May 13 Four Decades of Homegrown Music. May 13 is the 40th anniversary of the start of Mixed Bag as a daily program on WVIA-FM. Homegrown Music has been a weekly part of the program since 1976. Series founder, host and producer George Graham goes into the archive and features memorable material from each of the decades of the series, from the 1970s to the 2010s. Note: Start time 8:30 PM.
May 20 Gann Brewer. Rootsy, folk oriented singer-songwriter, a native of the Mississippi makes his Homegrown Music debut with memorable original music in a solo setting.
