Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham and is broadcast Tuesdays at 9:00 PM. A special feature during June is an encore of a memorable 2006 concert by the Brazilian-influenced duo Minas on the 16th. June 2 Jean-Paul Vest. Jean-Paul Vest is founder of the band Last Charge of the Light Horse, whose CD Nine Kinds of Happy was featured on the Mixed Bag album review series. He makes his Homegrown Music debut with thoughtful, often-contemplative songs performed in a distinctive solo electric context. |

| June 9 My Glorious Mess. An encore of a 2012 session from a fine melodic pop group based in New York with members from Scranton, who released a well-received nationally distributed EP. They debuted new material on this session. |
June 16 A Homegrown Concert Encore with MINAS. As the Homegrown Music monthly live concert series goes into summer hiatus, series producer George Graham presents rebroadcasts of some of the great concerts from the archive. Minas are a long-running duo of Brazilian-born guitarist and vocalist Orlando Haddad and American pianist and vocalist Patricia King. They formed Minas in 1978 while at the University of North Carolina. They traveled extensively and moved to Brazil for several years, before returning to the US. They make music that draws on Brazilian traditions with some jazz and blues. This segment is from their live Homegrown Music concert in July of 2006. |

| June 23 Anne Stott. New York native Singer-songwriter Anne Stott’s most recent album Love Never Dies has been spotlighted on WVIA’s Mixed Bag. Her songs include some rock sensibility in a folk context. She makes her Homegrown Music debut in a solo acoustic setting. |
June 30 Earth to Bob. From the archive comes this 1996 session by an superb, but rather short lived band from Central PA. Their music was highlighted by great vocals, roots-rock influence and song featuring some lyrics set in the region.
