Jan. 11 A Homegrown Music Live Concert with ALEXIS P. SUTER and ED RANDAZZO. WVIA’s first Homegrown Music live concert-broadcast of the New Year features an evening of bluesy music from two groups.
Alexis P. Suter has quickly become a sensation in the blues world wither powerful vocals which she herself describes as bass/baritone. Early in her career, she so impressed B.B. King that he invited her to open for him. She had also shared the stage with Bo Diddley, Dickie Betts, Etta James and many other blues luminaries. She has released six albums so far. For her Homegrown Music concert debut, she will be appearing with her new group The Ministers of Sound.

Jan 19 Joe Wilkinson with the Cosmic American Derelicts. New Jersey-bred singer-songwriter-guitarist Joe Wilkinson is a veteran of several Homegrown Music appearances in the late 1990s, with his own band, The Bleeding Hearts and with Neal Casal’s band. He has been living in the Los Angeles area for some years now, but returned for a reunion with some of his long-time band-mates now with the Cosmic American Derelicts.
