Oct. 22 A Homegrown Music Concert Encore with NEAL CASAL. Many were saddened by the news of the passing of guitarist, singer and songwriter Neal Casal in late August at the age of 50. A New Jersey native, he had a wide ranging national career as a member of the metal band Blackfoot in his teens, a solo folk style singer-songwriter, then a member of Ryan Adams’ Cardinals, the Chris Robinson Band, and more recently heading the instrumental jam band Circles Around the Sun. Before he moved to the West Coast in 2000, Casal was a guest on Homegrown Music three times. This is an encore of a memorable live concert from 1998 with his band, including keyboard luminary John Ginty. |
