Nov. 5 B.D. Lenz. Jazz rock fusion guitarist (and high-school math teacher) B.D. Lenz has released ten albums of his original music, some featuring well-known guests such as Randy Brecker and Will Lee. Over the years, his music has been used in numerous TV episodes, including “Breaking Bad” and “Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations.” This segment is an encore of a 2009 trio session spotlighting his original compositions. |
Nov. 12 Brenda Fernandes. A talented composer, keyboardist and vocalist from Scranton, Brenda Fernandes makes her Homegrown Music debut with an enjoyable set of original music inspired by her study of meditative practices. |
Nov. 19 A Homegrown Music Concert Encore with ALEXIS P. SUTER. One of the most dynamic blues singers on the scene, with her powerhouse vocals she describes as bass baritone, Ms. Suter has become prominent on the national and international blues scenes. She is always a big hit at regional blues festivals. In early January 2016, she and her band put in a memorably fiery live Homegrown Music concert, with special guest pianist Dave Keyes. The full performance will be featured in this encore. |
Nov. 26 Timothy Zieger and Zach Sprowls. From Factoryville, PA, near Scranton, singer-songwriter-guitarist Timothy Zieger returns for his third appearance on Homegrown Music, with time in a duo with pianist Zach Sprowls, for some very appealing new songs by Zieger. |
