Feb. 1 Jason Olcese. Singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist Jason Olcese, now performing as JAOH, is originally from rural Clifford, PA. The son of two music teachers, he has been playing since age 5, and originally was a drummer in rock bands. But as a singer-songwriter he developed an appealing personable style, incorporating various instruments from guitar to trumpet, and as a “beat-boxer,” and he also performs with looping devices, as well as serving as the lead vocalist for the popular State College, PA band My Hero Zero. This Homegrown Music segment is an anthology from his four sessions for the series between 2007 and 2015.
