| Homegrown Music is WVIA-FM's exclusive series which each week showcases the talents of regional contemporary music artists in recordings produced in the WVIA-FM studios by series host George Graham and is broadcast Tuesdays at 9:00 PM and Saturdays at 6 PM on WVIA-HD2. A nationally-known jazzy quartet noted for their witty lyrics by Dave Cantor, and the appealing vocals of Kelly Flint, Dave’s True story released several albums in the early 2000s. This encore from 2005 features some of their best and most clever songs, with a good helping of witty love songs for Valentine’s Day |

| Feb 15 A Live Homegrown Music Concert with THE MOMMYHEADS and BRENDA FERNANDES. WVIA’s live Homegrown Music concerts return after a nearly three-years hiatus, and a weather-related cancellation last month, with a set by the highly creative, progressive rock band Mommyheads, who have had a national presence since the 1980s. Featured on the Mixed Bag weekly album review, The Mommyheads’ music draws on such influences as XTC and Queen in their more than a dozen albums over the years. They make their Homegrown Music debut on this concert. |

Brenda Fernandes is a talented singer-songwriter electronic music artist from Scranton who draws on ambient and New Age influences in her distinctive original songs. The two-hour concert will be broadcast live on WVIA Radio starting at 8:00 PM, and free audience seating reservations may be obtained at http://wvia.org/events. |

| Feb. 21 Carla Ulbrich. Specializing in hilarious and satirical songs, Carla Ulbrich describes herself as a “Professional Smart Aleck.” She had been performing her funny songs on the folk festival and coffeehouse circuit for over 20 years. She returns to Homegrown Music after a 15-year absence with a new collection of songs, some of them topical, previewing material she’ll be recording for her next album. |

| Feb. 28 Craig Cummings. Singer songwriter Cummings is from the Baltimore area, and has been performing since a young age, but has spent much of his career as an educator, after studying education at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. But he kept his interest in music ongoing. He began performing solo in 2008, and has released four albums, including “Absolute Surprise” which has been featured on WVIA’s Mixed Bag. This is an encore of Cummings’ 2020 Homegrown Music debut performing his original songs, joined by electric guitarist Gantt Kushner. |
