May 6 Walter Prezelsky. From the Endless Mountains region, Walter Prezelsky returns to Homegrown Music for a new set of his of highly distinctive original music, ranging from blues to eclectic-acoustic. Previously half of the duo Angel Wolf, Prezelsky makes his second solo appearance.

May 13 A Homegrown Music Concert with the DREWES-HADDAD BAND. WVIA's monthly series of two-hour live in-studio concert-broadcasts continues with the World Jazz Fusion of the Drewes-Haddad Band.

Percussionist extraordinarire Jamey Haddad is known for his years with the Grammy-nominated David Liebman Group, and more recently touring and recording with Paul Simon. (Haddad is featured prominently on Simon's 2000 release You're the One). Composer, saxophonist, and multi-instrumentalist Billy Drewes has appeared on scores of both jazz and pop albums and is known for his great versatility. Their performances at the Delaware Water Gap Celebration of the Arts is a highlight of the annual festival. Each year, they create an entirely new set of original music for their festival appearance, one of the few opportunities that the busy musicians have to perform together. So it is a rare treat that Drewes and Haddad bring bring their group together for a Homegrown Music concert. For this performance, they will be joined by renowned cellist Eugene Friesen and guitarist Dave Tronzo. They will be performing two sets of their genre-defying, virtuosic, rhythmically irresistible music.

May 20 Homegrown Music Requests. A few times each year, series producer and host George Graham opens up the program for requests for listeners' favorites from among the over 500 regional artists and groups who have appeared on the series over the last 26 years. Phone 570-655-2808, preferably at least a day in advance, to place a request for this 90-minute edition of the program. Note: Start time: 8:30 PM.

May 27 Tom Dennehy. With a hometown of Danville, PA, Tom Dennehy is a world traveler, living in countries around the world for extended periods, usually working as an English teacher. He has spent years in India, Japan, Spain, most recently Morocco. On his return home for visits he rarely misses an opportunity to stop by to make a Homegrown Music appearance with a new batch of songs, often about his recent experiences in different cultures. He also has a wicked sense of humor. This latest batch of songs is no exception, with experiences of living in a Muslim country as an American in the current world situation figuring in his always-distinctive songs.
